“When you do not have enough of a certain item it creates a scarcity mindset. This leads people to certain behaviors which, in the short term, may help people manage temporarily but in the long term only make matters worse. Because of the way a person’s mind functions, it is important for others to realize that it is extremely difficult to think long term planning when a person is on survival mode. Scarcity captures the mind.
