Marisol Rodriguez, the Executive Director at Renew Life Center in Patterson, New Jersey, recently finished teaching her first Money & ME program. She chose to do a one hour program for six weeks. She had eight people start and seven people complete it! Marisol reports:
Overall the whole program was really good. You could see their brains sparking! It was in their eyes. Everyone really enjoyed the “Smart Shopping” session and learning about price per ounce. Marisol challenged herself to make the cleaning recipes and report back to the group how it worked. The “Money Owed: session was fabulous and everyone began identifying people and places they owe. There were hard moments too, where they had a realization that was harsh. Marisol would tell them “No judgement, It is what it is. Now you can do something about it. It’s not to make you feel bad. It’s to help you move forward.”
Marisol has another class scheduled for Renew Life Center and was asked to teach Money and ME at a local high school for the parents. Thank you Marisol for your willingness to teach money management concepts and help others take control of their money and their lives!
