What do social workers, teachers, clergy and executive directors of nonprofits all have in common…they all want to help people!
Last week was another amazing Train the Trainer sponsored by Americans for Prosperity. Several people (and organizations) came together to learn how to be trainers for the Money & ME program. Organizations included:
Mission Albuquerque: a Christian non-profit organization, established in 1999 to bring hope to a community in need, helping people turn the corner from a place of need to a place of service to others. They do this by:
1) Meeting people at their point of need (meeting real and felt needs)
2) Providing education and training in areas of need to bring individuals to a place of health and wholeness, and
3) Empowering people to care for and meet the needs of others.
A Peaceful Habitation: a Christian ministry providing service and support to facilitate successful re-entry back into society. It was created to support and equip recently released women who want to live transformed lives and break patterns of self-defeating or destructive behavior. The programming of A Peaceful Habitation is unique because it combines caring support and mentoring with educational content, to improve life skills in a context of personal accountability. Christian principles form the substance and intent of the organization, consisting of structured resources and referrals for reintegration support, education, and accountability.
Yes Housing Development: YES Housing Inc.’s goals is to provide opportunities for a better quality of life to disadvantaged and lower income families and the elderly through involvement in the development of affordable housing and the revitalization of the communities we serve.
Americans for Prosperity: an organization that believes “People are capable of achieving extraordinary things when they have the freedom and opportunity to do so.” This organization provides support and initiatives in many different ways and in many different states. In New Mexico, Americans for Prosperity is currently sponsoring Money & ME Train the Trainers Training.
Our next Train the Trainer will be in Las Cruces, New Mexico on July 25, 2023 from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. If you are interested, please email me. If you are connected to a nonprofit in New Mexico, and would like to learn more about this opportunity, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call me (505) 400-1626.
