Healing The World With The Word Ministries has been providing Money & ME Financial Literacy Workshops in the community since December 2016. We wanted a citizen friendly curriculum that any person in our community could understand. Healing The World With The Word Ministries started exploring various curriculum’s to determine which one would best serve our community in Tuscaloosa County, Alabama and surrounding areas. After a year and an half, we discovered Money & ME.
The Money & ME curriculum includes everything that organizations need for the workshop from name tags to workbooks and kits. The curriculum is great for organizations that want to make a difference in the community for we do not have many volunteers or hours to devote to preparation. Our organization has had six Money & ME Workshops. Each workshop has been a success. The participants enjoy the small and whole group discussions along with the time to reflect individually. They have the opportunity to learn for each other, and they feel comfortable asking questions. One great thing about the Money & ME curriculum is that it does not just focus on how to manage your money, but it also teaches participants how to change a habit and take responsibility of their own actions. Participants have left the Money & ME Workshops feeling that they can take control of their finances and make better financial decisions.
